forward it to other interested parties. I listen to the BBC "Digital
Planet" podcast, and this week's episode [1] has a short bit on the
Idlelo conference on FOSS in Africa, and Ushahidi in particular:

"Fifty years on from many African countries independence, the IT world
in Africa celebrates the growth of home-grown software. From the
Idlelo conference in Accra, Ghana, Dorothy Gordon talks about how
Africans are doing it for themselves."
