Dear Young Professionals,

I am emailing you regarding the call for applicants for the 2013 Global Humanitarian Technology Conference Young Professional Project Contest.

For the inaugural year of the contest, the project problem is to develop a Rural District Health Office Data Connectivity and eHealth Record System. Teams are asked to develop a detailed engineering design specification that outlines the scope of their project, the technical and social problems as they see it, and their proposed solution approach. Teams will then present their solution at GHTC2013 at Silicon Valley, California USA on October 20 - 23, 2013

The contest is open to young professionals from around the world who are under the age of 35, have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field (Science or Engineering), or are currently studying towards one, and be creative/socially innovative with a passion for advancing technology and humanity. Applications are open now until March 15, 2013.

Attached to this email is the contest flyer, application form, and project overview document which provide greater detail of the contest, and are available for wider circulation to all interested parties.

Further information can also be found by visiting the contest website, or sending enquiries to GHTC-YPP@...

Thank you in advance for your interest and please feel free to spread the word of the contest further.

Look forward to receiving your application.

Kind regards,

Donald McPhail (GHTC-YPP@...)
Organizing committee, GHTC 2013 YPP
