What’s in it?

A sneak peek into some of the things to expect from this release:-

New features like:-

Activity view: The new activity view keeps track of recent changes and trends on your deployment.
Notifications on collections and saved searches: You can now set up email or SMS notifications for new posts added to collections or matching saved searches.
Prompts to configure a new deployment: New deployments now prompt you to configure the deployment on your first login.
Dropped support for PHP 5.4: PHP 5.4 recently reached end-of-life. We've dropped support for PHP 5.4 so we can keep improving our codebase and using other libraries in the PHP ecosystem.

Improvements such as

Cleaner data sources settings to make it clear what needs to be configured before enabling a data source
Better client start up. Load setting before we render everything
Remove defunct kohana models
Remove old Kohana authentication modules
Default to MySQLi connection if DB_TYPE not set
Updated vagrant setup to work with Puppet 4+

Bug fixes and so much more :)!

Coming up next?

First and foremost, we’re working on adjusting the product based on YOUR feedback, so we can better meet your needs and expectations.

Secondly, we are planning on releasing our Responder plan by the end of the year. In addition to the core features in our Surveyor plan, it will include the ability to create custom user roles, private deployments, and CSV import and export . Once we’ve released Responder, our team is going to finish building a migration tool from V2 to V3.

Co-testing days!

We’re all set for our next co-testing day on Friday, 20th November 2015. If you’re in Nairobi, join us for a physical testing session between 9:00a.m and 5:00p.m at the South to South Lab, ground floor bishop magua building.
