Its been 4 years since the first Ushahidi manual was announced and released. Anahi did an amazing job of taking the initiative to provide Ushahidi users a step by step guide on how to use the platform through this document. It has been useful not to many deployers and members of our community.
I took some time in the last month to update and adapt this manual based on content provided from the first version of the by Anahi(to whom we are extremely grateful), the Ushahidi Wiki, and provide new content from features that were previously undocumented for Ushahidi version 2.7.4, with the help of the Ushahidi team.
Much like the first version, this manual contains the following sections:-
An installation guide, as well as instructions on how to use Crowdmap Classic
Customizing your deployment - Guiding you on how to modify settings etc
Processing the Incoming information: Guiding you on how to manage messages and reports
The User Interface: Guiding you on how to use the front end of your deployment
This is just a technical guide on navigating through the Ushahidi platform. We highly recommend going through the Ushahidi toolkits, aside from this technical guide, for insights on strategic planning around your deployment.
