Happy August,

We have a few gems for you this week:

Hello, Cairo!  If you use Crowdmap, we have upgraded it. The Ushahidi platfoThis includes some much needed bug fixes and additional security.

SwiftRiver beta testing is going well. If you don't have an account, you can sign up here.

Curation help:
We've been writing the Ushahidi weekly for awhile. Anyone can edit the latest edition on the blog. If you see something Ushahidi related or need help on a project, simply add your items by Tuesday am UTC. I post mid-week on the blog. Here's the latest edition (including a community developer recording and some award winning deployers like Ajay Kumar - powercuts.in)

Translation help:

Our security patches are in English only. We'd like to get these in a few other languages. The website is slightly hard to edit. Perhaps we could add these to the wiki. What do you think?

Wiki help:
I am trying to keep up with labeling the pages with keywords. Can you lend a hand?   Do you use the wiki? Can you recommend or make changes? In the meantime, I'm reading the Confluence manuals to find out ways to make it more functional.

Last week's Deployment of the week was Crisismappers UK - London Olympics 2012.   Congrats folk!   Any nominations for deployment of the week (to be announced on Friday? I usually search twitter, facebook and our analytics. If you see a great deployment, please share.

By the way, if you are new to the Ushahidi Community list? Please say hi and introduce yourself.

Have a good week,

heather
