Nexus one is o.k, I do have several misgivings (purely as a consumer, not as a dev) some of the misgivings are outlined in this post by Jeff Lemarche.

I would try the droid if the outlined 'no-gos' would be a deal breaker for you (as they kinda are for me)

I am yet to get the droid, but hear its tons better than the Nexus one.

I'd definitely recommend the Nexus One. I have the HTC Magic, but it has a small processor and I can almost hear the gears grinding sometimes. Any Snap-Dragon processor based Android Phone is the way to go.

Hey folks,

Psyched about mobile Ushahidi!

I am planning on getting a new Android phone whenever that one is released and just wanted to see if anyone had any advice about which one I should get?

I wonder if I will need to have a phone running Android 2+ or if it will work on the older versions -- I hear that the older Hero is  only compatible with 1.5.
