Nexus one is o.k, I do have several misgivings (purely as a consumer, not as a dev) some of the misgivings are outlined in this post by Jeff Lemarche.

I would try the droid if the outlined 'no-gos' would be a deal breaker for you (as they kinda are for me)
I am yet to get the droid, but hear its tons better than the Nexus one.
