Hey, we are under way in Nairobi.  Five teams hacking away:

1. J2ME
2. Ushahidi APi
3. Tunis Bugs and Ushahidi platform bugs
4. River to Twitter Oauth
5. Documentation - how to volunteer for each of the teams.

To join - We have the Ushahidi Dev chat on a big screen. If you are not yet a member of this skype chat yet, add heatherleson and I will set you up

The Community call will be at 18:00 EAT (We will also record it for our PST friends and others who can't join us.)

Thanks,

Heather L.

HI everyone,  On Saturday, August 27th we will hold an Ushahidi, Crowd, Swift and Mobile hackathon and open community call. Please join us.

Details on how to access (dev skype chat and ustream) will be posted here and on our blog on Friday.

Open Community call:

We are restarting the Ushahidi development community open calls and invite you to join a skype chat/ustream call. Our team of developers (Mobile, Swift, and Ushahidi) will be available to answer questions, take your feedback and brainstorm with you on the best ways to open up. This chat will be focused on technical development. We will hold future community chats focused on other topics.

The call will take place at 18:00 EAT/11:00 EDT/08:00 PDT. (Your local time)

This call will be part of the hackathon day and is set to be time zone friendly.

Hackathon;  If you are online during the 12:00 - 20:00 EAT, we would love if you joined us for a hackathon. Our developers are cooking up short lists of tasks, bugs, features and plugins that we can play with. Your ideas are also most welcome.

More Details.
